art maker
arts engagement practitioner
wellbeing facilitator
Welcome to my online portfolio. These pages showcase my creative and artistic practices, poetry and professional experience.
My career began back in 2003 when I gained a qualification in Creative Therapy. This allowed me firstly to take the opportunity to set up a number of creative drop in groups at charities for adults with acquired brain injury and adults effected by homelessness. Since then I have gone on to design and deliver a number of funded arts engagement projects specifically to adults and children from disadvantaged and socially isolated backgrounds.
I feel impassioned that art is a powerful agent for social change and personal growth.
In recent years I have been developing my own art practice which focuses on conceptual collage, visual poetry and more recently assemblage art .
I am currently undertaking exploration and development into assemblage art with nature which I hope will lead to new work, collaborative nature projects and outdoor interactive exhibitions.
I am a keen creative writer. I find using words, metaphor and imagery a cathartic way to express the inexpressible. Please check out my latest poem Presence shared on my blog page.
I am a qualified adult tutor facilitating courses in creative subjects, wellbeing and mindfulness. I have a level 4 qualification in Integrative Counselling and have on going interests in art therapy and nature based eco therapies. I recently trained as a Shinrin Yoku forest bathing guide. For more details on nature therapy please have a look here on my Wilder Being website for insight into nature therapy.
I hope in the future to combine my assemblage art practice, therapeutic nature arts experience and wellbeing background to facilitate interactive experiences across the UK specifically to people with limited access to greenspace and nature.
Details on my latest exhibition are also below, a nature art project inspired by nests co-created with Acorn Recovery Project, installed within woodland.

I am based in Manchester, UK
I have current DRB checks and public liability insurance.
